Scott "Elvis" Norton has been performing as
an Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) for nearly 20
years.   From the Rockin' 50's, the Movie Era,
the 68' Comeback Special, to the Las
Vegas/Jumpsuit Era.   Born in Louisville,
Kentucky, Scott was raised up on Elvis and all
the great music of the
50's and 60's.   By the time he was 8 he was
performing "live" on his front porch
when his parents had yard sales.  In the 4th
grade, his elementary music class was to put
on a talent show, singing with their old 45's
as background.  Scott's teacher instructed the
class to "try to sound like
the person on the record".  Well, Scott took

it literally and thus began his quest to try to sound like his idol, Elvis.  Scott spent many hours in front
of the mirror and playing his Elvis records, and by  age 12, he began to realize that he could sound like
his idol.  The first song he remembers sounding like Elvis on was, "Playing For Keeps".  In the 80's
Scott continued to sing, but branched out into country music.  He performed in various nightclubs in
California and in Kentucky.  One of the greatest moments of Scott's career was the time he got to
perform with another legend, George Jones, in 1987.  Scott moved on to Florida where he met his new
wife, Janet, on the very night he arrived in Florida.  Janet has been Scott's inspiration and support
system since then.   Janet encouraged Scott to pursue his career in music and gave him the courage
and confidence to do so.  In 1992, Scott performed with Ronnie McDowell, at a concert in Port St.
Lucie, FL, in an impromptu performance of "Blue Christmas", and it was there that Scott received his
first standing ovation.  Janet and Scott were married in 1995, and have 3 children, Robbie, Kelly and
Jason.  Scott continued to do live shows in Florida for small venues and private parties but never
pursued more than that.  Then in 2005, Scott entered his first ETA contest in Ft. Myers, FL at the Elvis
Wayne's Elvis Invasion.  He took 4th place in his first contest.  Since then Scott has met many other
ETA's, become a member of the Elvis Presley Continentals Fan Club in Orlando, and met Gordon
Stoker, DJ Fontana, and Patti Parry, all of whom have paid Scott some very high compliments.  Since
then Scott has been playing larger venues and more often.  Scott "Elvis" Norton is truly dynamic and
you will enjoy his shows immensely.
